Dr. Art Charles

Dr. Art Charles originally hails from from Belgrade, ME where he grew up on a small hobby farm with many animals, both large and small. He earned his DVM from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and returned to Maine to practice rural mixed animal medicine in Aroostook County.
After practicing in The County for several years Dr. Charles and his wife, Dr. Bailey Gage, moved to Midcoast Maine and purchased the MVS from Dr. Howarth in 2017. He has a particular interest in companion animal general medicine and surgery.
Dr. Charles is an enthusiastic outdoorsman and loves enjoying the great Maine outdoors with his wife and dogs (a Black Lab named Clyde, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Huck).
